A SPECIAL GAME FOR HUGO DURO
Hugo Duro's grandparents visited Mestalla for the first time
Matches are always unique, and even more so when your whole family is there to watch you. That was the case for Hugo Duro, as the Valencia CF match against RCD Espanyol at the Camp de Mestalla turned into a truly special moment. For the first time ever, his grandparents visited Mestalla to see him play live, wearing the Valencia CF shirt.
“We had never been to Mestalla, and Hugo had been insisting for almost four years that we had to come. We chose the match against RCD Espanyol and spoke with him on the phone. It couldn’t have been more special. We’re so happy to be here. Hugo is the best—hardworking and respectful,” said Hugo’s grandparents, Juan José Duro and Felicidad Serrano.
After the match, they shared some joyful and heartfelt moments with their grandson, not missing the chance to tease him a little and keep pushing him to give his all.
“Run, Hugo, run! I yell at you from my sofa when you don’t,” joked his grandmother with a big smile.
